20 years of Częstochowa – Ružomberok cooperation 

On Wednesday, March 20, the Department of Music and the Częstochowa Philharmonic cordially invite the academic community to the University Evening, which will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of cooperation between the universities in Częstochowa and Ružomberok. The evening will include a concert, a lecture and a vernissage of an exhibition of teachers from the Catholic University of Ružomberok. Miriam Žiarna (soprano), Rastislav Adamko (violin) and Zuzana Zahradníková (piano) from the Department of Music will present works by Slovak composers of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The concert will be preceded by a lecture by Rev. Prof. Rastislav Adamko, "Musical Culture in the Country under the Tatra Mountains". At the end of the evening, there will be a vernissage of an exhibition of teachers from the Department of Fine Arts. In the lobby of the Philharmonic, Patricia Biarincová, Rastislav Biarinec, Pavlína Fichta Čierna and Pavol Rusko will present their works. The curator of the exhibition is Andrea Smitková. The exhibition will be on display until mid-April. 

The evening begins on March 20 at 7:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices and on the website of the Częstochowa Philharmonic.
