Prof. Małgorzata Piasecka guest at literary meetings in Gdynia
On March 1-3, the Emigration Museum in Gdynia hosted the 8th edition of the Literary Meetings under the slogan "Dreamers". The organisers invited prof. Małgorzata Piasecka, pedagogue and sociologist, author of many scientific publications on the phenomenon of dreams and creative imagination, to participate in this event. This year's edition of the Festival was accompanied by the premiere of the 9th issue of the "Polish Migration Review", which takes up the theme of dreams as one of the factors that build the dynamics of the spectrum of migration phenomena and processes. Dreams are one of the driving forces behind migration – this thesis became a pretext for the discussion of the invited guests. The several-day Literary Meetings were an extraordinary opportunity to talk about dreams and dreamers among an excellent group of writers, essayists, poets, literary scholars, literary critics, translators of foreign literature, cultural studies and sociologists. Literature is sometimes considered to be a space of dreams, because they are made present by means of the figures of the text.
The Literary Meetings, organised in an open formula, enjoyed a large attendance of viewers and listeners and their involvement in the discussion.
