“Psychology Week” took place at JDU
Four days of psychological events are behind us.
From 23 to 26 April 2024, the Department of Psychology, in cooperation with students and with the participation of invited guests, carried out the project T y d z i e n P s y c h o l o g i i. During the Week, two sessions of lectures entitled Man under the magnifying glass of psychologists were organised, during which the speakers presented the following content:
1. Loss and grief. On a longing that seems to be endless,
2. The difficult road to parenthood. Experiencing infertility in a relationship,
3. On the model of work of a psychologist at school,
4. Meeting and interview with Magda.
A series of workshops was prepared for students and listeners on the following topics:
1. Communication in Human Space,
2. Psychologist's work with a child on the autism spectrum,
3. Psychological work with altered states of consciousness on the example of mindfulness and dreams,
4. I'm not a little boy breaking stereotypes about neurodiversity.
Lectures and presentations on About Psycho ... it happens
1. Volunteering through the eyes of a volunteer,
2. Seniors' Reflections on Life, in Student Interviews,
3. How does the brain of a psychopath work?
The presentation of the activities of student research clubs was preceded by a panel with stakeholders called Round Table.
The Psychology Week was inaugurated by the Rector, the Dean's Authorities of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the former Head of the Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy of the University of Silesia in Opava from the Czech Republic. The events were accompanied by the exhibition "Mental Health of the Young and Mature" prepared together with students of Psychology.
