FESTIVAL OF EUROPEAN KNOWLEDGE AND CULTURE 13-14.10.2024

Welcome to the website of the Festival of European Knowledge and Culture, organised by Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa thanks to the funds granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The series of events is devoted to the promotion of European values, integration of the academic and local communities, as well as discovering the diversity of culture and traditions of the European Union countries. The festival offers a wide range of attractions for participants of all ages – from educational workshops, debates, to concerts and animations for families with children. The event is open and free of charge to all interested!

Here is a foretaste of what awaits the participants:
1. Family Italian pizza making workshops zone – an ideal opportunity to spend time with the family and try your hand at cooking.
2. Inflatables zone – kids will be able to play without restrictions on colorful, large inflatable attractions
3. Mega games zone: chess, scrabble, cornhole, mini golf 
4. VR Zone - a virtual journey through Europe 
5. Face painting zone for children
6. Food truck zone with European cuisine and more
7. Sports zone
8. Stilt walkers in the colours of Europe
9. Rapper MIKSER – in love with Europe

14.30-15.30 – Concert of European Music performed by the Vocal Ensemble of the Department of Music and Academic Choir of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa
15.30-16.00 – Freestyle – Stage shows and interactive workshops with the audience 
16.00-16.20 – Rapper MIKSER – "Europe can be liked"
16.20-16.40 – European Show – Dance shows (Germany, part I) I)
16.40-17.00 – Freestyle – Stage shows and interactive workshops with the audience 
17.00-17.15 – Awarding prizes and thanks to kindergartens
17:15-17:30 – Rapper MIKSER – "Europe can be liked" part I II

4. Scientific conference: "Repressed heritage. Old Testament Renarrations in Literary Creativity" with the participation of guests from Italy, Austria and the UK, organised by the Institute of Literary Studies of JDU in cooperation with NAWA – October 14-15, AK 36a, Aula Humanitatis
5. Illumination in the colours of the European Union – October 12, at sunset, selected buildings of the University will shine with illumination in the colours of the European Union.
