DIC STAFF AT EAIE CONFERENCE AND FAIR IN TOULOUSE, FRANCE (SEPTEMBER 17-20, 2024)
For the second time, the staff of the Department for International Cooperation DIC (mgr Bartłomiej Kowalik, dr Andrii Galaidin) participated in the 34th annual EAIE (European Association for International Education) conference and fair in Toulouse, France, after last year's event in Rotterdam. The event brought together representatives of universities, institutions and organisations related to higher education from all over the world.
For four days, participants took part in discussions, workshops, lectures, poster sessions (conference) and represented their countries and sending institutions/organisations at stands in the exhibition hall (fair).
The organiser of the joint Polish stand "Study & Research in Poland" was the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. In addition to JDU, the event was attended by representatives of a record number of 38 Polish universities. The official opening of the Polish stand took place on September 18 at 1.00 pm.
The Polish stand was opened by Professor Andrzej Szeptycki, Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, together with the following representatives:

Our representatives conducted interviews with universities from Germany, Taiwan, Slovakia, France, Pakistan, Canada, Portugal, the Philippines, Qatar, Romania, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
In addition, talks were held with other Polish universities as part of the exchange of good practices.
Participation in the fair provided numerous opportunities for networking and exchange of industry know-how.
As part of the fair, a meeting of the European University COLOURS Alliance was held: Paderborn University (Germany), University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain), University of Ferrara (Italy), Kristianstad University (Sweden), Jan Długosz University (Poland), Josip Juraj Strossmayer University Osijek (Croatia).
The next EAIE conference and trade fair will take place in September 2025 in Gothenburg (Sweden).
The participation of DIC staff in the event was financed as part of the Welcome to Poland project.
