PROF. JANUSZ KAPUŚNIAK, JDU RECTOR RECEIVES PROFESSORIAL NOMINATION FROM PRESIDENT OF POLAND

The ceremony of awarding the title of professor to Janusz Kapuśniak took place on Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, and the event was the crowning achievement of prof. Kapuśniak’s many years of work, outstanding achievements in the field of scientific research and dedication to the process of educating young scientists.

We would like to congratulate Professor on this extremely important distinction and the opportunity to participate in such a unique ceremony. 

The decision to confer the title of professor in the field of agricultural sciences in the discipline of food and nutrition technology was signed topProf. Janusz Kapuśniak on January 23, 2023. 

In accordance with the Act on Academic Degrees and Title and on Degrees and Title in Arts, the title of professor is awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland at the request of the Central Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles. This title may be awarded to a person who has previously obtained a postdoctoral degree and whose scientific or artistic achievements significantly exceed the standards of the habilitation procedure. Equally important are the candidate's didactic achievements, especially in the field of educating young researchers.
