"SHAME IN LITERATURE. TRANSFER - RECEPTION STUDIES" CONFERENCE

We cordially invite all to participate in the 9th National Scientific Conference "Shame in literature. Transfer - Reception Studies", which will take place in Częstochowa (Institute of Literary Studies of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa) on November 14-15, 2024.

This is the ninth conference devoted to the reception of German-language literature in Poland and the issues of translation studies. This year, its participants include representatives of the community of German and Polish philologists from Poland and Austria, and the plenary lecture "Scham und Schamlosigkeit" will be given by prof. Karol Sauerland (University of Warsaw) as a guest of honour. On the first day of the conference, there will be a meeting with the Austrian writer Sophia Lunr Schnack, who has been awarded literary scholarships for her debut novel "feuchtes holz" [damp wood] from 2023.
