JDU AS BENEFICIARY IN NCN COMPETITION - WE COOPERATE WITH POZNAŃ UNIVERSITIES

Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa has been awarded by the National Science Centre in the OPUS 27 competition. Scientists from the Poznań University of Technology, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the Institute of Physics of Jan Dlugosz University will carry out a project entitled "Design, characterisation and description of the mechanisms of action of heterostructural semiconductor materials in photocatalytic systems and photovoltaic cells sensitized with dye", for which funding in the amount of PLN 3,390,685 was obtained. The project will result in the development of a method for the ecological synthesis of modern hybrid materials with the desired technical parameters for photoalytic and photovoltaic applications. A group of scientists from JDU, led by prof. Małgorzata Makowska-Janusik, will investigate the mechanisms of physical phenomena occurring in photoactivated hybrid materials used as anodes in solar cells using computer simulation methods. The computer simulations will support the process of searching for modern and functional materials that may revolutionise the market of silicon photovoltaic cells in the future.
