Quality policy

The aim of the quality policy of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa is to conduct scientific research, development works and artistic activity at the highest level and to achieve the best possible standards in the education of students, doctoral students and participants of postgraduate studies, as well as other forms of lifelong learning, while observing and promoting fundamental academic values and building the scientific and educational prestige of the University in the city, country and abroad.

The quality policy of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa is conducted on the basis of the mission and development strategy of the University in all areas defined as strategic for the operation and functioning of the University. The University's quality policy is also defined by relevant resolutions of the Senate and the Rector's orders, such as: the Code of Ethics for Academic Teachers, the Code of Ethics for Students, the Code of Ethics for PhD Students, the Code of Ethics for Non-Academic Staff, the Resolution of the Senate on the University System for Quality Assurance of Education, the Resolution of the Senate on the Anti-Mobbing and Anti-Discrimination Policy, the Gender Equality Plan and the Rector's ordinances regulating education quality improvement procedures and activities in the field of University Social Responsibility. 

The culture of quality at the University is subject to constant evaluation and is implemented by:
- conducting scientific research, development work and artistic activity at the highest possible level;
- combining a high level of research with the quality of education;
- implementing current results of scientific research into the didactic process;
- care for the highest quality of education;
- improving methods for ensuring and improving the quality of education and its evaluation;
- updating the educational offer in accordance with the progress of civilisation, the expectations of the socio-economic environment and stakeholders, developing various forms of education and popularising the idea of lifelong learning;
- supporting the scientific and research activity as well as implementation activities of employees and units;
- developing fair and mutually respectful relationships between members of the academic community;
- building a high culture of work quality;
- respect for the freedom of teaching, freedom of speech, scientific research, publication of its results, as well as academic debate organised by members of the University community, in compliance with the principles of pluralism of views and order regulations of the University;
- implementation of the principles of social responsibility of the University, including the third mission of the University;
- cooperation with external stakeholders and dissemination of knowledge about the culture of quality at the University in the socio-economic environment;
- development of internationalisation of scientific research and the teaching process as well as activities for international cooperation;
- building the prestige of the University in the city, country and abroad.

The quality policy of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa is implemented and improved by the entire academic community, teachers, students, doctoral students, participants of postgraduate studies and other forms of lifelong learning, as well as non-academic staff.
