Faculty of Law & Economics
The academics conduct scientific research in the field of legal and economic sciences, which are translated into the implementation of national and international research projects. An example is the prestigious HORIZON 2020.
The Faculty's employees act as experts, make a significant contribution to the development or amendment of legal regulations, often constituting an advisory voice and preparing expert opinions. They actively cooperate, among others, with the offices of Polish ombudsmen or sports organisations, which use the results of legal and economic expertise and suggestions resulting from them. The prepared scientific studies are taken into account in the interpretation of legal provisions in the process of applying the law by the courts.
A lively scientific and research activity is also carried out in cooperation with foreign academic centres, from the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary.
