MAKING IS EASIER FOR OVERSEAS STUDENTS & STAFF TO GET AROUND JDU CAMPUS
The Welcome Centre, a unit that facilitates foreigners to adapt at JDU, has gained a new tool to carry out its tasks. As part of the JDU4U project (Welcome to Poland NAWA programme), a package of 20 films in English was developed. The films will make it easier for visitors from abroad to get from the stations to the University buildings and move between them. In total, there are 34 episodes that lead the viewer through the streets of the city to the University buildings, to the dormitory and to the hotel. With their help, it is easier to get through the corridors of buildings to dean's offices and service centres (PL: COW), the Library, the Disability Support Office (PL: BON) and other units important to foreigners.
The first students who will start their studies at JDU in October within the Erasmus+ programme have already benefited from the help of the films. We received a positive assessment of this form of support from them on the first day of our stay.
The films together with spherical panoramas are the implementation of the task "Virtual walk around JDU".
