CRASP MEETS AT SILESIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
Nearly one hundred rectors of universities participate in the two-day Meeting of the Presidium and Plenary Assembly of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (20-21 November 2024). Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa is represented by the Rector, prof. Janusz Kapuśniak. During the meeting, Standing Committees were appointed. Among the members of the Commission for Science and the Commission for Economic Affairs was the Rector of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, prof. Janusz Kapuśniak. Among the members of the Committee for Organisational and Legislative Affairs was the Vice-Rector for Research, prof. Bogusław Przywora. The sessions take place in the University Senate Hall and in Hall A of the Education and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology.
CRASP is the largest representation of Polish universities. Currently, the Conference is composed of rectors of 110 universities, including 11 non-public universities. The aim of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland is to inspire and coordinate cooperation between member universities, as well as to represent the common interests of academic universities. The Conference undertakes activities leading to the creation of an effective and integrated system of national education and works for the development of higher education, science and culture, standing on the constitutional principle of the autonomy of higher education institutions, guaranteeing the right to determine one's own position on issues of key importance to academic communities.
