VIRTUAL JOURNEY WEEK

On Friday, the International Virtual Journey Week organised by the Foreign Language Study Centre, which lasted from 18.11 to 22.11.2024, came to an end. It was a cultural and educational event, bringing together 9 European universities as part of the COLOURS Alliance. The aim of the meeting was to take a multifaceted look at the activities of partner universities, especially in the context of international exchange, to learn about the culture of given countries and university cities. Daily meetings have been diversified with mini language courses.

The “live" meetings were attended by nearly 200 students of JDU, several participants of the Erasmus + programme and a large group of academic lecturers together with representatives of the authorities of our University. At the same time, both our students and partner countries participated in multimedia online activities on the BloomHub platform.

FLSC together with the JDU students had the pleasure to act as a host, presenting our University, the city and the region, as well as the culture and customs of Poland. In a nice and cheerful international atmosphere, we spent time with Polish delicacies and music.

According to the statistical data presented by the COLOURS partners, students and staff of JDU showed the highest percentage result of participation in the event, which proves the great commitment of our academic community and the need to organise initiatives of a similar nature.
