CONFERENCE ON ART STUDIES
On November 28 and 29, 2024, a two-day meeting of the Conference on Art Studies was held, devoted to key issues related to the evaluation of scientific and artistic research and the quality of education in artistic fields. The conference was hosted by the Faculty of Pedagogy and Arts in Kalisz of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The event was attended by representatives of academic circles from 18 universities. The challenges related to the evaluation of creative achievements, the specificity of artistic publications and the role of interdisciplinarity in scientific research were discussed. The subject of taking into account the diversity of forms of artistic expression in evaluation processes was also discussed, drawing attention to the need to adjust the evaluation criteria to the specificity of artistic directions. During the panels, methods of raising teaching standards, supporting students' creativity and the use of modern technologies in educational processes were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the need to adapt curricula to the dynamically changing realities of the contemporary art and culture market.
One of the points of the programme was the presentation of a new project called KonglomerArt. This project aims to integrate artistic environments and provides a platform for the exchange of experiences in the field of didactics.
The meeting ended with a joint declaration of the participants about the need for further cooperation for the development of the quality of education in artistic faculties and the promotion of artistic and scientific achievements in the national and international arena.
