SILESIAN SCIENCE AWARD 2025 - CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The award is given to people who significantly contribute to the development of science, present outstanding artistic achievements and promote Silesian science on the national and international arena. The award may be granted for lifetime achievement or for achievements for the 2 years preceding the year of granting the award.

It is acceptable to submit more than one person for a joint scientific or artistic achievement. In this case, it is possible to receive one nomination or a joint win for several people. In the case of a team application, one form must be completed, including the data of all candidates.

You can be awarded only once.

1. Submission of a candidacy for the Silesian Scientific Award by submitting the form constituting Appendix No. 1 to the Ordinance R021.1.128.2024 of 29 November 2024 via the COW to the Chairman of the Discipline Council competent for the discipline represented by the candidate, by 30 April this year at the latest.

2. Selection of a maximum of one candidate by a given Discipline Council and presentation of this Candidacy to the Rector's College through the Department of Science and Scientific Projects by 30 May this year.

3. Selection of a maximum of five candidates by the JDU Rector's College by 30 June this year and presentation of candidates to the Award Committee.

1. 2. Selection of a maximum of one candidate by a given Discipline Council and presentation of this Candidacy to the Rector's College through the Department of Science and Scientific Projects by 30 May this year.

3. Selection of a maximum of one candidate by the Rector's College of JDU by 30 June this year and presentation of the candidacy to the Award Committee.
