CONFERENCE OF MINISTER OF JUSTICE WITH DEANS OF LAW FACULTIES
On March 11-12, 2025, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Economics, prof. Ewelina Żelasko-Makowska and the Vice-Dean for Education and Student Affairs, prof. Monika Bartnik, participated in the Conference of the Minister of Justice with the Deans of Law Faculties in Popowo. The aim of the conference was to summarise the results of the exams for legal training in 2024.The conference was opened by Maria Ejchart – Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Justice. In the first part of the conference, which concerned the summary of the results of the recruitment for attorney-at-law, bailiff, notary and attorney-at-law training, judge Iwona Kujawa – Director of the Department of Legal Professions presented the results of the entrance exams for the above-mentioned applications in great detail and on many levels. The second part of the conference concerned the entrance exams to the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution. In this part of the meeting, Judge Waldemar Żurek, Deputy Director of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution, took the floor, discussing the rules of recruitment for judicial and prosecutorial training in 2024. The whole meeting was summed up by a lively discussion with the participation of representatives of professional associations and the deans of law faculties present. In 2024, 27 graduates of our Faculty took the entrance exams for the following apprenticeships: advocate, legal advisor, notary and bailiff. 20 people passed the entrance exam. In the case of the advocate apprenticeship, 90% of the examinees completed the entrance exam with a positive result, 44% of the examinees completed the attorney-at-law apprenticeship, 86% of the examinees completed the notarial exam, and 100% of the examinees completed the bailiff apprenticeship. Also in the case of the entrance exam for the advocate apprenticeship, we noted 100% effectiveness, because the person who took it received a positive result. These results definitely indicate that the level of quality of education at our Faculty is very high. Congratulations to all law graduates who took the entrance exams for legal training in 2024 and completed them with a positive result!
