THE ODER PERSON & THE VISTULA - CONVERSATION ON RIVER PROTECTION AND ARTISTIC PROJECT PRESENTATION
Częstochowa and its surroundings – let's meet to talk about rivers and their future!
On April 2 at 7.00 pm in room W-54 at Waszyngtona 4/8, an extraordinary meeting will be held with dr Rafał Siderski - a photographer from the Faculty of Art of JDU, who will talk about the project carried out by himself and Małgorzata Lebda, an outstanding Polish poet and prose writer, in which they have travelled all the way from the source of the Vistula to its mouth into the sea. The result is a photo book "Tributaries, vibrations, afterimages and songs on the banks" – a visual and lyrical journey along the Vistula, but also something much more: an impulse to reflect on the fate of our rivers.
The Oder river is dying – we can change it! After further environmental disasters, it is time to take real action. We want to support the project of giving the Odra a legal personality so that it has better protection and is not defenseless against degradation. You can help with this too! Volunteers from the Person Odra Foundation will collect signatures on the spot, everyone matters!
If you love nature, if are interested in art or simply care about the future of our rivers – come and take your friends! Together, we can make the Oder a subject, not just a "resource".
