ERASMUS+ VISIT

On 31.03-4.04 the University Centre for Lifelong Learning had the pleasure to host mgr Karolina Kucaková from the University of Žilina in Slovakia. The visit took place as part of the Erasmus+ Learning Agreement programme and was aimed at exchanging teaching experiences and observing classes conducted at our university.

During her stay, our guest participated in English classes at the first-cycle studies in English Philology, and also conducted workshops for second-cycle students on the use of artificial intelligence in learning English. Our guest was very impressed by the commitment and high level of communication of the students.

The second part of the visit included job shadowing – observation of classes conducted by mgr Sylwia Stachurska-Ćwiek. It was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about modern tools supporting the teaching of English as a second language. Ms. Kucakova also received teaching materials, which she admitted she will use in her work at the University of Žilina.

On April 2, the head of the Centre and her guest participated in a unique literary and musical event: the Shakespearean Party – theatrical performances of Shakespearean stages prepared by first-year students of English Philology. There was also a visit to the city and the surroundings of Czestochowa (Jasna Góra, the Jewish cemetery and the ruins of the castle in Olsztyn).

We would like to thank mgr Karolina Kucakova for her visit and inspiring meetings! We look forward to further cooperation under the Erasmus+ programme and hope that we will have the opportunity to host mgr Karolina Kucakowa at our university more than once.
