JDU COMMUNITY BIDS FAREWELL TO POPE FRANCIS

It is with regret and deep sadness that the community of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa received the news of the death of Jorge Mario Bergoglio SJ, Pope Francis, who passed away on April 21, 2025. We will remember Pope Francis as a modest man, extremely kind and open to helping people affected by suffering and pain. We also remember his visit to Jasna Góra, which took place on July 28, 2016 during the World Youth Days. This event was deeply inscribed in the history of not only the Monastery, but also the City and its inhabitants! The visit became a symbol of grace and distinction.
